David was born in Brooklyn New York, on April nineteenth, nineteen hundred and seventy eight. He graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Communications Design. His professional career started shortly after. He has created unique and exciting illustrations for clients such as Brick Weekly, The New York Times Book Review, The New York Press, Parents Magazine, Computer World Magazine, Poz Magazine, Publications International, Chronogram Magazine, The Dallas Morning News, and Quarterly Black Review. In 2002 he was featured in Print Magazine�s New Visual Artists Review. David often lends his time as a guest lecturer to schools like Pratt Institute and Marywood University. He has also coordinated art work shops for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program of New York. His work has appeared in the Society of Illustrators, CBGB’s Gallery, The New York City Film Festival and Christopher Stanley Salon.
Alongside being an illustrator David is also a Photo Editor. He started his career by scanning in images for magazine layouts for a small group of publications distributed by G+J publishing called Parents Baby group. Their tittles included Ser Padres Magazine, Parents Baby Magazine and Parents Pregnancy Magazine. He soon became the Assistant Photo Editor of Parents Magazine, where he learned many skills dealing with magazine and photo shoot production. David is now the Photo Editor for Meredith Publishing’s Siempre Mujer Magazine, where he has worked closely with the Creative Director to develop the overall look and feel of a new national publication dedicated to the Latin woman who was raised in the United States. Siempre Mujer deals with fashion, food, home, health and money issues.
